Starting this week I will get mor organised. I promise.
Firstly -Scrapbooking.
*I will do one hybrid and five digital LO's every week.
*I will load all photographs into Picasa before scrapping them.
*I will load all kits into Picasa before using them.
*I WILL SORT OUT THAT BASKET OF PHOTOS before Jan 31.
*I will get rid of all my paper stash I am not using (taking suggestions here)
Writing/Blogging
*I will write some Citizen Journalism for MDL at least once a week.
*I will do my journaling as it strikes me not when I do the LO and the moment is lost.
*I will write that first chapter that has been rattling in my head for over a month.
*I will blog regularly, esp Top 10 Tuesday; Wishlist Wednesday and Scrapbook Saturday.

*I will take Simple. Organised. Life.'s "get rid of 10 things" challenge.
*I will do the housework early morning... not when FB is slow (LOL, right)
*I will do some of those hybrid projects I've been meaning to get to.
This is completely doable... it really is. Except on a Monday morning in home where the family decides mom doesn't touch the kitchen for the weekend... They cooked but no one cleaned

I scrapped!!! Woohoo!!!
Seriously, I did. Actually this page was done by Friday but weather, life and other stuff prevented me from taking the photo. I did it for challenge #29 on SSD. I had to find inspiration from this blog. The photography was a bit beyond me but I love her idea of telling a story with a few captions. The beauty of hybrid of course, is that, the smiley paper was completely altered to fit the theme. It was yellow and red with “sick” and fever” scribbled all over it. I love photoshop.
Journalling reads:this is a story of a girl who: 1 -was able to concentrate intently; 2 -coversed animately; 3 -smiled often (my favourite); 4 -argued with passion; 5 -oh, and cried a river and drowned the whole world.
The quote at the top:“if the eyes are the window to the soul, your face would be the French doors standing wide open to your heart”

I did not get to sorting out that basket photos but I did manage to flood the bath room. Actually half the flat was covered in half an inch of water. If you think half an inch is not much you would be wrong. The under felt of the passage carpet is all bunched up and the previous owners put carpet over wooden floors.
In other news Nikita goes back to school tomorrow. Stationery is bought and labled. Those little white labels on everything she did herself in excel and stuck them on each every item. Books are covered, well most of them. We got two thirds of the way and ran out of paper. All I need to do is put a hem in her school uniform and she will polish her own shoes. Best Wishes to all teachers.

The biggest scrapbooking tease of the decade.
I’ve been doing this for 6 years. Scrapbooking that is. And in all that time, I cannot remember a challenge system been so greatly anticipated. Seriously, by last Thursday, people were literally begging to be challenged by the Sweet Shop Design staff.
Now, I am not big on challenges. Especially ones set out by digi sites. Being a hybrid scrapper, the time frames set out are almost always impossible. And when I do have the time, it’s not a challenge that inspires me.
I was intrigued by this one, though. It promised to inspire us; something I greatly need, having done only 5 layouts last year. So along with every other SSD community member, I waited and waited and waited. We were teased and taunted right up until the 31st.
I must admit that this one was worth all the hype. 31 challenges laid out at the beginning of the month. We get to pick and choose the ones we want. Extra points for up to 5 hybrid layouts/projects. So I can decide now which I am going to do and which I am not. Thanks so much to Robin and her team.
There are of course other challenges all over the web. Scrapbook.com have some nice ones. These are set up by community member and not the staff. Some have limited spots so hunt around this thread, you might find some that you enjoy.
Of course, now that my inspiration for scrapbooking is one place, I can work on my other new years resolutions: decluttering my home and writing more. Believe it or not the decluttering seems to be easier. I have not had any writing mojo for about a year.
My project for this week is sort out that big basket full of old photos; write something for MDL and scrap a page or two. We’ll see how that goes
